Fresh – Salt – Wind – Water tells a story of the Cornelian Bay area through local species and other natural elements highlighting the beauty and diversity of the bay. The topographical elements of the bay and surrounding hills are depicted in the background to create a sense of flow, direction and movement through the underpass.
Endemic and threatened flora and fauna are shown in the foreground along with several species which have disappeared from the area. This artwork highlights the work of the Cornelian Bay Bushcare group who recently celebrated their 30th year volunteering to regenerate the Cornelian bay area and demonstrates the community spirit and love for our parkland spaces. This artwork is about what we have, what we’ve lost and together what we can regain.
